The Drum plays an enormous role in our Native American culture.

Each drum becomes an extension of the drummer through use, love, pulsation, and even the oil from the hands that is absorbed. The drum moves our spirit by its calming resonance. The beat is in harmony with the earth’s natural frequency. Native Americans often believe their drum is like a living member of their family. It is understandable why many Native Americans do not permit any other person to utilize their personal drum.
The drum is not just one instrument, but many instruments combined.
Some people think the echo is created in the body of the drum but it is actually created by the membrane and its vibration. Each drum is truly unique, having a sound with its own unique tone, communicating its existence in its own individual way.
